Fax: 516-874-1926The primary functions of the Office of Instruction, Assessment and Funded Program is to lead the development of instructional programming, select instructional materials and assessments, implement instructional strategies, and provide professional learning opportunities for all staff that expand and refine the understanding of research-based effective instruction. Our most important goal is to support all our scholars in becoming college and career ready by providing a comprehensive, culturally responsive, and rigorous curriculum.
Our district is proud to enrich our scholars' educational journey through a comprehensive K-12 curriculum that provides unique opportunities that prepares them as well-rounded individuals while meeting and adressing their unique academic and social emotional needs. The Westbury UFSD is committed to supporting Professional Learning Communities for our staff so they share experiences and discuss pertinent data relevant to improving student learning. The district is mindful of the multiple points of measurement and has implemented a data dashboard. Our administration and practitioners actively engage in reviewing data through the use our Data Wise Protocol to activate the "swoosh" in our practice:
